Blog Fashion Tour #3

Thursday!! The day of our Blog Fashion Tour! Today the destination is Moscow.

"Moscow, clearly, one of the future world fashion capitals. Now it is hard to say, but the fashion industry in Russia is constantly evolving. Young designers represent the integral and thoughtful collections of stuff that you really want to wear.
Of course, two of Fashion Week, held in Moscow - under the auspices of Mercedes and Volvo - the main fashion events in the city. It is here that we learn whose clothes we will wear very soon. This is where you get a huge charge of inspiration ...
What about shopping, the great number of shopping centers offers many opportunities. What about worthy places in which collected the best brand ...
They can be counted on the fingers. Of course, highlighted department stores, such as the TSUM with an atmosphere of luxury and comfort and Tsvetnoy Central Market, relocating to Europe, as well as the main trading point in the country - romantic GUM.
Living in fashion, it is impossible not to wish a warm winter. However, in Russia it is useless. In any case, we have to either wrap up in down jackets and fur coats or select shoes by depressing slush. However, fashion is always saved. When she lives in my soul, none of the machinations of weather is not terrible!"

Ecole Parsons' Fashion show 2012

Hello everyone,
On thursday, I went to Parsons' school Fashion show, directing by Jean Charles de Castelbajac. After the rewarding, I spoke with designers and here are my favorites.

Young fashion designer from Russia established in England, she starts studies in Parsons' School Campus in Paris. So it's in the middle between three way of living, three different civilisations (admittedly all Europeans, but all different), that Irina is accomplishing her work. Actually, the collection she prensented at the fashion show was inspired by the book the "Little Prince" by St-Exupéry. In facts, we could see trenches and dresses liven up with cape, galaxy printed leggings, a playing on materials and harmonious forms reminding waves and smoke, in other words, a journey over kown horizon, searching for the social link with as guide, a Little Prince dressed up as a Little Princess of modern times.

Jessica Acosta Lorena :

"My final collection portrays the emotional journey of the people who decide to move from their native region to the city in order to have a "better life". During this journey they will pass trought three stages : hope/nostalgia, disillusion and transformation that is the last stage and the creation of another silent citizen." J.A. Lorena

Through this collection, which develops a lot shoulers and hips, the designer, originary from Peru would to share her own experience. We could see, straight lined structures which evoke urbanisation. Some motives  printed on jacket or coats remind the urbain view.

Stéphanie Wu :

"Seeking a way to combine different cultures together and create a modern silhouette that will harmonize, this is an exploration of how we can get in touch with our cultural roots and identity as we recollect the past." S.Wu

What an explosion of styles and cultures in this collection just like its creator ! Stephanie Wu, young designer from Taiwan living in Canada and studying in Europe, managed to connect these three different continents through her work. We find the asiatic influence with the floral motives and the very large trousers. At the same time, the occidental influence is being feltin the final result which bring an international modern women's look.

Dress Project #5

Searching for inspiration for my 18's birthday dress. I have imagined this one, maybe other suggestions?

If you dare

Blog Fashion tour #2

Hello everybody, usually, I would make this post on thursday, but I'm not sure to have time tomorrow... So, The second place I present to you is Philippines! I just let you to our weekly guide, Em :

I'm Em, I just turned 21 years old and I am a literature-management student currently in my junior year. I live in the Philippines, specifically in Iloilo City which is at the heart of our country. The people here are constantly evolving, getting more daring and confident with their outfit choices and I must say, our city could be a fashion capital someday. Now that can't be a far-fetched thought, right? Our city has a lot of shops and stores, be it retail, outlet, branded, ready to wear and even thrifted! Just perfect for fashion junkies like me. There are also a number of talented people here who are budding designers, most of them had already gotten their name out at the Manila fashion scene. Our city is definitely making it's mark in our country's fashion industry.

My favorites places to shop are at the local malls, department stores, retail or outlet but most especially at thrift stores! I don't know why but there's something special about thrifting. It's like digging on the ground and finding a hidden treasure. :) As much as I love to shop, I also love making my own clothes. I'm still on the learning process of sewing and creating garments but I am getting better. There's nothing more beautiful than wearing your own creation, right? :)

Aside from fashion, I also love eating! As you can probably tell from my blog posts, I love taking photos of the food I've eaten just to preserve its perfect state before I ruined it haha. Some of my favorite local restaurants and bars are Mojave, Sbarro, Al Dente, Hamada, Calda, Crave Burger, Dulgies, Nothing But Desserts, Coffee Break, The Garden Cafe, Book Latte, Starbucks, Treahouse, Tea-rrific, to name a few. I'm obsessed with cafes/coffee shops, pastry shops, tea shops or just a quaint place where I can relax and enjoy my coffee or tea and sweets.

If you ever come here, just message me and I'll be glad to help you out with places you can visit. I know the best restaurants, bars or even places where you can just hangout and relax. :)

Hope you have enjoyed, next week, We're gonna move to Moscow!!!

Just eat Fashion!

Blog Fashion tour #1

Hello readers, I will create a regular review with inspiration and way of living of bloggers from everywhere in the world. Today, my first guess is Adrienne, a californian girl.

Link: http://adriennenguyenn.blogspot.com/
My name is Adrienne and I'm a blogger from Southern California - I was born and raised in Orange County and I currently go to school at UCI as a Biological Sciences Major. I am surrounded by beaches and it adds to my personal style-especially during the summer. Shorts and tank tops are a must during the summer however, I always add my own personality to it. I like mixing East Coast (sophisticated) and West Coast (bohemian) together to create a look. I'm inspired my various things in life such as paintings, music, buildings, graffiti...

Since the location of my home and school are surrounded by everything I love, I am always out and about -that is if I don't have to study! When I am out, you can find me wandering around Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza! For Fashion Island, I love how it is an outdoor mall where you can literally see the see the sun set on the beach! Some of the small boutiques carry interesting trinkets that are perfect for gifts! However South Coast is my favorite shopping destination! I love practically every store in that place especially Zara! I can never leave that complex empty handed.
After studying for a long time or shopping, I tend to get exhausted so I need to boost up my energy by finding food! I love trying new things so I am planning on driving down Pacific Coast Highway (the road that connects all the beaches together) and trying everything that looks appealing! But as for now, my favorite place to eat is this cute sushi place called Kokoro! It's near my house and everything tastes good! I usually go for the Sashimi dinner which REALLY fills you up or the Catalina Island Roll! If I need something fast, I usually go to California Pizza Kitchen and grad their Roasted Vegetable salad!

When you're in California, I believe everyone has to visit Hollywood, Disneyland, Universal Studios (all the theme parks) and then, depending on what type of person you are, you could opt for a serene and calm atmosphere by visiting the countryside -Napa Valley or literally burn under the California heat on the beach! There are so many things to do in California. Just get in a car, drive, and I'm sure you'll find something appealing!

Much love,

Adrienne

Thank you for reading, next destination --> Philippines !

Helmut Newton

Let's sing in the rain

Printemps rime avec... Pluie!
